Pattern Notes
Pattern is written in US crochet terminology.
Square is worked in the round beginning at the center with right side facing at all times.
Work each round in the specified color. If the round does not specify what color to use, use the same color as the previous round.
When working rounds in different colors, there are a variety of methods than can be used to deal with the color changes. This is what I did:At the end of a MC round, after the sl st, leave a long loop hanging at the back of the square. To start the next MC round, draw that long loop up through to the current round. Fasten off CC1 and CC2 at the end of the round unless otherwise stated. To start a new round with CC1 or CC2, join the yarn with a sl st in the first st or space to be worked in.
At the end of each round, join with a sl st in the first st or top of the beginning ch 3.
Special Technique
Magic ring = Click here to learn how to make a magic ring.
Special Stitches
Fptr (front post treble crochet) = Yarn over twice, insert hook from front side of work to backand to frontagain around the post of indicated st; yarn over and pull up a loop (4 loops on hook), [yarn over and draw through 2 loops] 3 times.
