Happy National Crochet Month! Today is my stop on the Tour through Crochet Country blog tour. To celebrate, I’m sharing a free crochet pattern today.

When I was young, my Bubbie (grandmother) would make flower bookmarks out of bits of yarn. She passed away a long time ago, and unfortunately, I don’t have any of the bookmarks she made. This is my best guess reproduction of her bookmarks.

I used a G/6 4.00mm crochet hook and DK weight yarn*. Feel free to use whatever yarn you have on hand and the appropriately sized hook.

Gauge is not critical.

Pattern:
Ch 40, or until ch is approximately 8 inches long.

Rnd 1: (2 dc, ch 2, sl st, petal made) in 3rd ch from the hook, (ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, sl st, petal made) 3 times in same chain as first petal, end off.

Weave in the end, or use it to attach a pretty bead or button to the center of your flower.
