It’s hard to believe that just a week ago I was writing a post about purposefully taking a day off to relax and do nothing. Things are back in full swing again. My to do list has grown to being half a mile long. I’ve got patterns to finish, website work to do, and need to prep lesson plans. And did I mention that my house is a wreck and my mother will be arriving in 8 hrs?

There are some things that make staving off a mild panic attack easier- like getting a new crochet book in the mail. Just the other day a box arrived with my contributor’s copy of Curvy Girl Crochet- a new book out by Mary Beth Temple. Curvy Girl Crochet is a book of clothing and accessory patterns specifically for plus sizes. Not only are Mary Beth’s patterns beautiful and flattering, but Mary Beth has a background in costume design- she really gets how clothing construction works and how to tailor that to plus sizes. I was flattered to be able to contribute a pattern to the book (the Aureate Vest).
