A while back I tried taking a picture of a mint tin with my iPhone, but I couldn’t get a very clear picture of such a small object. I saw something online about macro lenses (for close-up photography) that you can purchase to use with your phone’s camera, so I ordered one online. It doesn’t work for taking a picture of the mint tin (when I’d need to hold the camera about 3-5 inches from the object), but holy cow did it take some awesome close-ups. Here are some photos I took with it.
Remember that yarn bombed buckeye nut I did a while back? Here’s a close up of the crochet flower center.
The next photo is a close up of the label on my bottle of Handmaid hand creme (made by the great folks at Soak). I keep my Handmaid on my desk so that’s it’s always easily accessible. It’s a rich, nice hand creme (little goes a long way) and I absolutely love the Lacey fragrance. Sometimes, after I use it, I just sit back and sniff my hands for a while. Seriously good stuff.
This close up is of yarn from Buffalo Wool Co. It’s their Buffalo Skies yarn. It’s a really nice yarn and one skein is plenty for a nice knit cowl or hat. I love that this one is a worsted weight. After doing so much with fingering weight lately it’s great to get the immediate satisfaction from a thicker yarn.
