I love checking out new yarn stores when I travel, but tracking them down can be a real headache. Either the store doesn’t have a website (that’s a post for a whole other day), or I can’t find anything telling me the hours it’s open. That’s why I was so excited to discover Fiber & Fabric Mania! It’s a directory, updated yearly, of knitting, quilting, needlepoint, crocheting, weaving, spinning, cross-stitch, and embroidery stores throughout the U.S. The directory is organized by state. Each state has a map showing store locations. After the map, is a city by city listing with the store name, address, phone number, and sometimes hours and website.  Little icons next to the store name tell you what type of items it has in stock (yarn, cross stitch, etc). I

I was so excited about this when I saw it at TNNA, that the nice folks at the booth gave me a copy. You can get your copy of the 2012 paperback travel guide here, or check out the online shop finder (including store reviews).
