Sometimes it’s the small things in life that make you feel like you hit the jackpot.
A lot of people I know use altoids tins for carrying around their notions. I can’t eat altoids, because they aren’t kosher. I know I could just ask a friend for an empty tin, but it’s not the same when you can’t enjoy the mints first.
Well, my mom brought some stuff for the kids. (She’s always buying stuff for the kids.) Amid the jumble of books, pencils, and various items were two small tins of mints. She had picked them up on her visit to a history museum. Not only were the mints kosher (score!), but the tins are imprinted with “Texas” and a picture of a Longhorn on them. I went to the University of Texas at Austin so I love Texas branded stuff. I was so excited when I saw them that my mom said I could have the mints instead of the kids. The kids got enough stuff from my mom that I don’t feel bad swiping these.
I’m so excited about my mints and the rockin’ little notions tin I will have once I eat them all up.
BTW, the mints tins come from Amusemints.
