Today I’d like to take a moment to talk about microfiber. Everywhere you look these days you’ll find items made of microfiber- sheets, clothing, and even yarn. But you know what? I can not bring myself to buy things made of microfiber.
One of the first things I remember seeing the word “microfiber” on was dusting cloths. It advertised how well microfiber attracts and captures dust. So why on Earth would I want microfiber sheets?!? It’s like sleeping on a giant dust rag! No matter how many things I see made of microfiber, I still can’t get past the “microfiber = dust rag” that has been indelibly printed in my brain.
Are there any fibers you have an aversion to, reasonable or not?
I hate the way microfiber anything feels. It just sets my teeth on edge. Ditto with corduroy.
I’m glad to know it’s not just me!
