I recently signed up for a swap over on a Ravelry group. I haven’t done one in years, but now that it’s started I’m really having fun.

1. Surprises: You probably have a pretty good idea what your family will give you. Because you’ve never met your swap partner it’s harder to guess what they’ll send.

2. Time is relative. Some swaps require you to make large items, but others require little crafting time. No matter how much or little time or money you have, you can find a swap that works.

3. As fun as getting gifts is giving gifts. It’s really neat to start plotting out what to give a fellow fiberholic.
