Hagrid: While riding on the bus (or is it train) with Harry in Book 1, Hagrid begins to knit.
Mrs. Weasley: Her sweater’s are the bane of Ron’s Christmas experience.
Hermione: She used magic to make knitting needles knit scarves and hats for house elves. No mention of her knitting by hand.
Dobby: The free house elf uses his new income to purchase wool and knit Harry Potter socks with a Quidditch theme.
Dumbledore: Although no mention is made of him actually knitting, he requests a magazine from Slughorn because he loves knitting patterns.
Sadly, no mention is made of any character crocheting. Perhaps, this is another fantastic thing wizards have overlooked- like cell phones and the google search.
Knitting is a craft in which two needles along with thread or yarn are used to create fabric pieces or garments by creating loops in the yarn. Knitting can be used to create many types of fabric, from framed knitting artwork to sweaters, afghan quilts, throws, blankets, mittens, or even bedroom slippers.`-`;
