It’s so hard to find a planner system that really works for you when you don’t have the standard 9 to 5 office job. I wear a lot of hats – I tech edit, design websites, teach classes, and I’m a mom. In this introductory video I give you a little insight into why standard planners failed me and how I developed my own solution.

I mainly use an A5 sized spiral notebook like this one below as my planner. I can take as much or as little space as I want for each day. (Yes. I totally decorate it with stickers and washi tape.)

In addition to my planner, I keep track of appointments on my cell phone calendar. I also hang a deadline calendar above my desk. I reference these as I create my monthly, weekly, and daily pages.
